Simone is co-head of the FICC Derivatives team in the Investment
Banking Division in London. He joined Goldman Sachs in 1997 as an analyst on the Mortgage and Principal Finance desk.
In 1999, he moved to the FICC Derivatives Marketing team, and in 2001, he joined the Structured Solution Group, where he was
responsible for southern Europe. In 2003, he was appointed co-head of the European Corporate Derivative Marketing team.
Simone became a managing director in 2005.
Simone graduated with a degree in economics from the Catholic University of Milano in 1995. In 1996, he was awarded a
foreign graduate studies scholarship by the Italian Ministry of Education to attend the
London School of Economics, where he earned his MSc in Finance and Economics in 1997.
